Parasitic infections continue to exert a substantial impact on public health. children in developing countries are particularly badly affected, but Europeans are also at risk through international travel, opportunistic infections in HIV patients and climate change.

This two-day symposium will bring together a panel of invited speakers including:

  • Professor Peter Chiodini, Hopsital for Tropical Diseases
  • Professor Maria Yazdanbakhsh, Leiden University Medical Centre
  • Dr Russell Stothard, Natural History Museum
  • Professor Moses Bockarie, Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine

The delegate rate is £140; BSP members and RSTMH Fellows are entitled to a discounted rate of £100 and student members of either society will pay a further discounted rate of £50.
