Dr Clement Ameh Yaro
Dr. Clement Ameh Yaro is a Senior Lecturer in the Parasitology and Public Health Unit, Department of Animal and Environmental Biology, University of Uyo, Nigeria. He began his academic journey at Usman Danfodiyo University, Sokoto, Nigeria where he bagged a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. He then proceeded to Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Nigeria where he graduated with a Master of Science degree in Biology with major in Parasitology and a Doctor of Philosophy degree with major in Parasitology and Public Health. He lectures and conduct researches on medical and veterinary parasitic diseases.
He is an active member to several esteemed professional bodies, including the Parasitology and Public Health Society of Nigeria (PPSN), the Royal Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene (RSTMH), and the Nigerian Society of Experimental Biology (NISEB). Dr. Yaro has significantly contributed to national and state level surveillances efforts on different Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs) across Nigeria. He has published over 50 scholarly articles in both local and internal journals.
