2020 Early Career Grants Programme

The RSTMH Early Career Grants Programme provides grants every year to those early in their career, from anywhere in the world, to carry out their first piece of research into tropical medicine or global health. The RSTMH Early Career Grants Programme was previously called the Small Grants Programme.

Grant awardees 2020

Over the last 3 years we have been able to award more and more small grants to early career researchers based across the world. In 2018 we awarded 16, in 2019 we awarded 50, and this year we will be awarding 124.

NIHR awardees 2020

We are delighted that the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR), the research function of the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC), is providing funding for up to 100 small grants as part of RSTMH’s 2020 small grants programme.
