2021 Early Career Grants Programme

The RSTMH Early Career Grants Programme provides grants every year to those early in their career, from anywhere in the world, to carry out their first piece of research into tropical medicine or global health. The RSTMH Early Career Grants Programme was previously called the Small Grants Programme.

In 2021, we received a record number of applications for our Small Grants Programme – 1,198 applications in total.

NIHR awardees 2021

We are delighted that the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR), the research function of the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC), is providing funding for 162 small grants as part of RSTMH’s 2021 Small Grants Programme.
