Get involved
No matter where you are based, your career stage or what discipline you work in, you can be part of our worldwide community working in tropical medicine and global health, in which every person can make a difference and gain knowledge and experience.
Alongside signing up to our newsletter, becoming a member, submitting your work to our journals, applying for funding and attending our events, there are lots of other ways you can get involved with the Royal Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene.
Support our work through a donation
Donations, big or small, help us support our members and Fellows working in tropical medicine and global health to save lives, fight diseases and improve access to health. They also help us to support the wider community of global health and tropical medicine.
This support could include growing skills through our events and guidance, providing funding for research projects through our grants programme, or showcasing successes and learnings through our scientific journals. It may also include growing networks and collaborations through our membership directory and events, sharing news in the sector through our website, newsletter and social media, as well as helping careers through our website growglobal.health which shares opportunities for funding, jobs, courses and research placements.
You can make a donation of any size to RSTMH here.
There are also a few other ways that a donation can support us including through the RSTMH gift collection and the use of our meeting room.

Volunteer with us
Our volunteers are an essential part of RSTMH. They include our Trustees, Committee Members, Policy Advisors, Country Ambassadors, Student Ambassadors and Global Assessors, plus reviewers and editorial Board members for our journals. There are over 1,000 people supporting the Society in their free time, as volunteers, around the world. We are immensely grateful to all of them for giving their time and expertise to us. With their help we achieve much more.
Become a Student Ambassador
Our Student Ambassador programme gives students the opportunity to act as a voice for their fellow peers.

They also help inform and influence our work at strategic level and in our day-to-day activities through their advice.
