Dr Emily McMullen

Emily McMullen is a seasoned global health professional with over 20 years’ experience leading complex international programmes and advising governments, the United Nations, and global institutions at the intersection of health, technology, and human rights. A former advisor in the UK House of Lords and Secretariat of the APPG on Global Health, she currently serves as a Visiting Senior Research Fellow in Conflict and Health Insecurity at King’s College London. Emily brings deep expertise in strategic health policy, humanitarian diplomacy, and the application of emerging technologies in fragile and conflict-affected settings. Her work with WHO, DFID, and multiple UK bilateral partnerships, alongside an MSc in Global Health Policy, underpins her current PhD research, which explores how technological innovation can strengthen healthcare systems in communities impacted by conflict.
