Dr Leonard Uzairue

Dr Leonard Uzairue is a lecturer and researcher at the Faculty of Health Sciences, De Montfort University, Leicester, and holds a PhD in medical microbiology and public health. Dr Uzairue specialises in molecular epidemiology and the dynamics of pathogen transmission. His research focuses on the epidemiology of bacterial and fungal pathogens at the intersection of One Health and antimicrobial resistance. Additionally, Dr Uzairue works on infection prevention and control, using experimental, evidence synthesis, and mixed-methods approaches to inform policy.
