Dr Safieh Shah

Safieh is a global health scientist focused on building empathetic, inclusive, and effective health systems. They’ve led humanitarian responses to major health crises and set up long-term programs across the world in diverse settings, centering communities lived experiences and leadership. Grounded in decolonial, intersectional Islamic feminist praxis, their work confronts epistemicide and advances context-specific, open access, and community-accountable research. Through both practice and scholarship, they aim to transform dominant paradigms so that knowledge and policy serve those most impacted by systemic injustice—toward collective liberation.
