2025 Presidents' Lecture

Please join us for the 2025 Presidents' Lecture, hosted by our Presidents Dr Wendy Harrison and Professor Margaret Gyapong and with featured speaker Dr Magda Robalo.
Dr Magda Robalo is an infectious disease physician and public health expert, whose career spans for over 30 years in the global health ecosystem. Robalo spearheaded successful initiatives in her current role as President and Co-Founder of The Institute for Global Health and Development and as former Minister of Public Health, Presidential High Commissioner for the COVID-19 response in Guinea-Bissau, WHO Representative, WHO Director of Communicable Diseases and Global Managing Director of Women in Global Health.
The title of the talk is The Reform of the Global Health Architecture and Governance: an opportunity to reposition Global Health Research.
This event will be at 12pm BST on 15 October 2025 and is open to all members and Fellow with no charge, and you can register for the event below. Members and Fellows will also get the opportunity to ask questions in a Q&A following the talk to Dr Robalo and our Presidents.
