RSTMH Research in Progress 2020
This one-day meeting was designed specifically for early career investigators to present their unpublished research in progress to peers and senior experts across all fields of tropical medicine and global health.
Attendees heard the latest research from early career researchers on a wide range of topics within tropical medicine and global health, took part in one-to-one and group mentoring sessions with senior leaders in the sector, and connected with colleagues and new contacts in a virtual networking space.
Our keynote speaker was Dr Katharina Kranzer, Clinical Associate Professor in Infectious Disease Epidemiology at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and Honorary Clinical Consultant Microbiologist at University College London Hospital.
Sessions were spaced out across the day, with mentoring opportunities at the beginning and end to accommodate delegates in different time zones. All presentations were recorded and made available to registered delegates after the event.
“The nature of RSTMH provides a very like-minded and receptive audience, a very comfortable crowd to which to present.”
