The highlights of the first issue of the new year include a case study describing eight uncommon presentations of leprosy in addition to a short communication looking into the increase of pneumonia in Brazil in 2024, despite a global decline since the global COVID-19 pandemic. This issue also includes original articles on the impact of Chagas disease on patients with heart failure and how using digital annual household survey results can help prioritise high-risk villages when it comes to tuberculosis outbreaks in India.

Find these, and more, in this months issue of Transactions of The Royal Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene.
