Dr Asnakew Ayele

Dr Asnakew Ayele is a pharmacoepidemiologist and public health researcher and educator affiliated with the University of New England. With a multidisciplinary background spanning pharmacy, clinical research, and global health, he holds a PhD from the University of New England (Australia), an MPH in Global Health from the University of Manchester (UK), and both an MSc in Clinical Pharmacy and BPharm degrees from the University of Gondar (Ethiopia). Dr Ayele's research focuses on enhancing medication safety, promoting deprescribing, and optimizing medicine use and health outcomes in low-resource environments, with a specific focus on vulnerable populations. With a portfolio of over 35 peer-reviewed publications, Dr Ayele's widely cited research has been pivotal in informing and shaping both clinical practice and health policy globally.
