Oladotun Okediji
Oladotun Okediji is a fourth-year Doctor of Pharmacy student at the University of Ilorin, Nigeria. He is an early-career global health researcher with academic interests spanning HIV/AIDS, antimicrobial resistance (AMR), and infectious diseases. His work focuses on integrating differentiated and digital service delivery models to improve treatment access and health outcomes in sub-Saharan Africa.
Oladotun began engaging in global health research in his first undergraduate year, when he was selected for the International Pharmaceutical Students’ Federation (IPSF) Global Research Lab Project. That same year, he was appointed to the Public Health Committee of the International Pharmaceutical Students’ Federation (IPSF).
His research has been accepted for oral and poster presentations at leading international conferences, including the International AIDS Conference (AIDS 2024, Munich), HIV Research for Prevention (HIVR4P 2024, Lima), the International Conference on HIV Treatment, Pathogenesis, and Prevention Research in Resource-Limited Settings (INTEREST 2025, Namibia), the POHER Medical Research and Mentorship Symposium (2024), and the International Conference on AIDS and STIs in Africa (ICASA 2025). He is also a member of the Person-Centred HIV Research Team (PeCHIVReT).
Oladotun’s excellence has been recognised through multiple awards, including the Melody Okereke Undergraduate Award for Career and Professional Development, the Best Oral Abstract Presentation Award at the Dr. Mohammed Amali Scientific Conference 4.0, and Third Place (Research Trainee Category) at the POHER Medical Research and Mentorship Symposium in Lusaka, Zambia.
He currently serves as Programme Director on HIV and AIDS for the International Pharmaceutical Students’ Federation (IPSF), leading the Federation’s global HIV initiatives on behalf of, and targeting, over half a million pharmacy students worldwide.
