Professor Dorcas Obiri-Yeboah

Prof. Dorcas Obiri-Yeboah is a professor of clinical microbiology in the Department of Microbiology and Immunology at the School of Medical Sciences, University of Cape Coast. She is a clinician-scientist who bridges academia and the health industry through sustained clinical impact. She holds a BSc, an MBChB, an MSc, and a PhD as her main qualifications, in addition to several training programs across the globe. In addition to her work in UCC, Ghana, she has international engagements across Africa, Europe, and North America. She is a researcher with over 130 peer-reviewed journal publications in reputable journals and several policy and guideline documents, nationally and globally. Her work focuses particularly on viral sexually transmitted pathogens, with a passion for HPV and cervical cancer prevention.
