Sam Macintosh
For 23 years Sam Macintosh has worked at the intersection of government, philanthropy, community engagement, and NGO delivery to support large-scale public health programs, with a focus on HIV/AIDS, neglected tropical diseases, health financing, and market-shaping for essential medicines. His work has helped improve health outcomes for over one billion people across 40 countries, negotiating lower costs for drugs and expanding access to prevention and treatment services. Sam has held governance, executive, and technical roles at international institutions, philanthropies, corporations, and NGOs, and he advises the World Health Organization Malaria and NTD Department on strategy evaluation and disease financing. Sam holds degrees in international and development economics from Strathclyde Business School and SOAS, University of London.
