Victor Femi-Lawal

Victor Femi-Lawal is a medical student, global health researcher, youth leader, and health advocate dedicated to improving health outcomes through research, innovation, and advocacy. He has contributed to various studies and initiatives across Africa and globally, including adolescent health research as a Project Editor with Polygeia (Cambridge, UK), an international global health think-tank, and community-based interventions as Co-Founder of The Mafita Initiative, a youth-led non-profit organization. With over a dozen peer-reviewed scientific publications, his work has been published in various journals including The Lancet, and he has presented at international conferences across three continents.

He previously served as Vice President of the Federation of African Medical Students’ Associations (FAMSA), leading impactful initiatives for over 100,000 medical students across the continent and championing digital health innovations in the organization. His work has been recognized with various awards, grants, and recognitions, including the Vice Chancellor’s Award for the Most Outstanding Student in Research & Innovation at his university.

Passionate about capacity building and driving progress in global health through research and leadership, he serves as a Research Lead in the Africa CDC Youth in Digital Health Network (YiDHN).
