13 June 2024 RSTMH and CIFF announce three-year partnership

We are excited to announce today a three-year partnership with the Children’s Investment Fund Foundation (CIFF) which will strengthen the skills, networks and careers of at least 75 early career researchers working in the area of Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTD’s) across Africa.

24 May 2024 RSTMH and Tropical Data to start publications partnership

The RSTMH journal International Health will be publishing an editorial that looks at the history of Tropical Data, a consortium of partners that helps countries carry out surveys as they work towards eliminating trachoma, as part of a new partnership.

22 May 2024 WHO article on Climate Change and NTDs published in RSTMH journal

A WHO Task Team on Climate Change, NTDs and Malaria launched the findings of a major scoping review on the current state of knowledge on the actual and potential impacts of human-induced changes to climate patterns on diseases including malaria, dengue, lymphatic filariasis and leishmaniasis.

12 December 2023 International Health supplement on trachoma published as part of Sightsavers dissemination partnership

We have published a research supplement in our journal International Health that provides updates on the infectious eye disease trachoma, in partnership with Sightsavers.

7 April 2022 New International Health supplement published as part of first dissemination partnership

We published an International Health supplement on advancing eye health, developed as part of a dissemination partnership with international charity Sightsavers.

We’re pleased to announce a new partnership between RSTMH and Africa Research Excellence Fund (AREF).

Medals and Awards Partners

Hemingway Award

The Hemingway Award is a joint award between RSTMH and the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine (LSTM) and recognises successful delivery or encouragement of translational science. It is awarded every two years and is for people at any career stage.

George Macdonald Medal

The George Macdonald Medal is joint medal between RSTMH and the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (LSHTM). It recognises outstanding individuals who have conducted research leading to significant improvements of health in the tropics. It is awarded every three years, and is for those senior in their careers.

Donald Mackay Medal

The Donald Mackay Medal is a joint Medal, which is awarded in alternating years by the Royal Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene (even years) and by the American Society of Tropical Medicine & Hygiene (odd years). It is open for those mid-career or senior in their career and recognises outstanding work in tropical health, especially relating to improvements in the health of rural or urban workers in the tropics.
