Dr Ghada Zoubiane

Head of Partnerships and Stakeholder Engagement, International Centre for Antimicrobial Resistance Solutions

Ghada is the Head of Partnership and Stakeholder Engagement at ICARS supporting their efforts to mitigate AMR in low- and middle-income countries, bridging the gap between evidence and practice, and working in close partnership with a range of national, regional and international stakeholders. With a strong appreciation of the science/policy interface, her role includes outreach and advocacy, as well as advising on ICARS strategy. In addition, she leads ICARS’ efforts in the MENA region.

Ghada has over 20-year experience in both the public and private sector, shaping and executing research strategies at national and international levels. She was previously the Science and Innovation Lead on AMR at Wellcome, and before that at the UK MRC leading their AMR, infectious diseases and public health research programmes nationally and globally. 

She holds a PhD in Biomedical Sciences, a MSc in Animal Science and Agriculture degree. She is currently working towards her MSc in Global Health Policy.
