Dr Samuel Nsikan Akpan

Dr Samuel Nsikan Akpan is a One Health epidemiologist. He is a joint doctoral fellow at the Institute of Genomics & Global Health (IGH), Nigeria; and the International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI), Kenya. A winner of the FAO-WFF Global One Health Special Prize (2024), his research combines social, ecological and genomic approaches to investigate the emergence of zoonotic diseases.
