Highlights this month include a comparative study investigating disparities in unmet needs for family planning of urban and rural women in Kano State, Nigeria; a literature analysis on reactivation of cutaneous leishmaniasis in the context of non-HIV immunosuppression; a review article on the epidemiological and clinical aspects of cutaneous leishmaniasis in Afghanistan; the first report on the enzootic maintenance of Dirofilaria infection among dogs and mosquitoes in Puducherry, India; and a further five papers from our recent virtual issue: Addressing the snakebite challenge - progress towards the 2030 roadmap.
