Halimat Olaniyan

Halimat Omowumi Olaniyan is a Researcher, Program Manager, and public health professional. She holds a BSc from the University of Ilorin and an MPH, specialising in Child and Adolescent Health, from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria. She is about to embark on her PhD. She works as an Independent Consultant and currently serves as the Coordinator of the Research and Project Management Unit at the Drosophila Research and Training Centre. She also leads the Advocacy for Age-Inclusive and Youth Health Initiative (AFAY Health Initiative), which she founded in 2021. She is the Curator of Global Shapers Ibadan Hub, an Initiative of the World Economic Forum, and Health Task Team Lead at Theirworld, a Global education charity. She serves on various health committees and associations, including the International Association for Adolescent Health and the World Federation for Public Health Associations.
