Dr Julian Sutton

Dr Sutton is a Consultant in Infectious Diseases and Medical Microbiology and Clinical Lead of the Department of Infection, and Lead Infection Control Doctor at University Hospital Southampton NHS Trust.  He is also co-Care Group Clinical Lead for Specialist and Inpatient Medicine.

Julian’s clinical and research interests include new and emerging pathogens, the application of rapid infection diagnostics in real world NHS settings, outbreak control, and the prevention of healthcare associated infection.
