Dr Debebe Shaweno Adewo

Debebe is a research associate in infectious disease modelling at the School of Health and Related Research (ScHARR), the University of Sheffield after completing PhD in infectious disease epidemiology at the University of Melbourne, Australia at the end of 2019.

Debebe is an epidemiologist using spatiotemporal, mathematical and statistical models to understand infectious disease epidemiology. His current work involves applying mathematical models and inference frameworks to interpret results of randomised community trials of joint interventions of tuberculosis and HIV in high TB/HIV burden settings. He also manages large databases using automated data analysis pipelines.
