Professor Christopher Parry

Christopher Parry is a Visiting Professor in Clinical Tropical Medicine, Centre for Tropical Medicine and Global Health, University of Oxford, and Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer, Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine (LSTM). He trained in medical microbiology, infectious diseases, and tropical medicine and lived and worked for prolonged periods, in Vietnam, Cambodia, Bangladesh the Philippines and Japan where he has conducted research to improve the management of patients with severe bacterial infections. He teaches at LSTM and in the School of Tropical Medicine and Global Health, Nagasaki University, Japan. His current main research collaboration is with colleagues in OUCRU-Nepal, Kathmandu on the diagnosis and treatment of enteric fever.
