We are excited to announce a guidance webinar on scientific publishing will be taking place on Thursday 23 May 2024 at 1 - 2.30pm BST. This webinar will be for RSTMH members and Fellows only.
This webinar will be led by the RSTMH Managing Editor, Tom Pinfield, and include contributions from editorial team members from both RSTMH journals, Transactions of the Royal Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene, and International Health. This is an opportunity to hear from experts about how to avoid common mistakes in the publishing process, how to avoid unnecessary delays, how to increase the likelihood of your work going on to be accepted, and how to effectively promote your work once it is published.
The session will cover the following topics:
- Deciding what to publish and choosing the right journal
- Writing your paper and preparing your manuscript
- The peer review process
- Promoting your research
