This one-day meeting brings together microbiologists, consultants in infectious disease, infection control nurses and biomedical and clinical scientists to hear updates on recent “hot topics” in all aspects of infectious disease. 

RSTMH members and Fellows are invited to join Professor Janet Hemingway CBE and the RSTMH team at the President's Reception at Liverpool School Tropical Medicine, Liverpool, UK, on 17 June 2022, from 18:00 BST onwards. This will be an exciting opportunity  for  RSTMH members and Fellows to re-connect, establish new networks, and celebrate the Presidency of Professor Hemingway. There will also be complimentary drinks and canapes served throughout the event.

On Monday 13 June, 17:00 to 18:00 BST, Dr Maria Eugenia Grillet, recipient of the Hemingway Award 2021, provided jointly by RSTMH and LSTM, will give her talk during this free webinar.

For this webinar, Dr. Mohammad Haqmal will discuss the current humanitarian crisis in Afghanistan and review the responses and future impact on global health. He will explore the indiscriminate impacts of conflict on access to healthcare which have been exacerbated due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

These events are designed exclusively for RSTMH Members to get to know each other and make introductions in a relaxed virtual networking environment.
